NO! I DON'T want cheese with that!!!!!!

I'm so sorry to post this here, but we stopped at Burger King on our way to Cleveland this afternoon and as I was ordering my Whopper the girl at the register actually cut me off to ask if I wanted cheese. I was irritated and said, "I'm NOT finished yet!" and then proceeded to finish my order with, "And NO cheese". Was this a bitch move on my part? Probably, but I get so annoyed when I go to Burger King and they ask me that! If I wanted freaking cheese, I'd order freaking cheese!!!!!!

I *heart* my Realtor

So we've been having some small problems with the current owners to the Thornwood house. They have now insisted that they'd like to be present for the entire inspection of the house. Which made it more difficult for us to schedule a time to get it done because their schedule seems to be just as busy as ours, but on opposite days.

We finally got them to agree to 8:30 next Friday morning. We also had the fireplace inspector out to their place and he wrote a note on his inspection that the chimney needed to be cleaned so that he could inspect the inside. The realtor for this couple is either a total moron or is very slick, because she kept putting it off. Every time our realtor asked when they were having it cleaned, she made some excuse. Finally, David (our guy) said to her, "Maybe you should remind your clients what they paid for the house and the incredible deal their getting from my clients." Now, suddenly, the chimney is being cleaned.

We found out that the owners got a killer deal on this house because they bought it from a relocation company. We're paying these people 30K more than they paid for it. Now before you freak out and think we're dumb, they got a steal of the century for the property. We are paying a more than fair price for what we're getting and we are totally happy with what we're getting for the price. However, now that we know the profit they'll be making, we're asking them to fix anything and everything that the home inspector may find wrong.

On another note....I'm sitting with a check for 10K in my lap right now. I've been petting it! LOL! It's the first of Kendall's installments for his signing bonus. He gets another chunk in July and a very big chunk when we close on our house in June. I've never even seen a check for this amount of money, let alone held it in my hands! It's just another reminder of how much our lives are about to change. It's amazing! It's unbelieveable! It's going to buy me a baby! LOL! But seriously, as shitty as that aspect of my life has been (the baby part) I'm really greatful for the fact that Kendall and I have made it through all of his training without killing each other. And now we finally get to live like the rock stars we aspire to be! It's just going to be nice to live comfortably and not have to worry about how we're going to pay the bills. And like I said, for that I am VERY greatful.

A Very Busy Weekend

OYE! I'm so tired! We went non-stop all weekend long!

On Friday the kids were only in school for a half day. It felt like the longest half day of my life! For some reason I couldn't wait for them to get out of there! I went out to lunch with my friend Amy and then spent the afternoon farting around waiting for 3 pm so I could go home! When I got home, Kendall and I made meatloaf and cheesy potatoes for the Eutslers. We ate until we were going to burst and then busted out the cards to play Shanghai. I tried playing the same game the weekend before at their house and almost started crying by the third round. I totally didn't get it. But this time, I did! So much so that we taught it to Jessica and Aaron today after lunch! We had brownies and ice cream and a GREAT time. Jim and I were having a great time making Karen mad. He kept "feeding me" cards during the game. It was GREAT! Did I mention how great of a time we had?

On Saturday we cleaned the house up a little bit and then headed out so that a realtor could show our house. The idiot set off our alarm somehow and we had to come home to make sure the police didn't show up! We got to meet the couple looking at the house and Kendall answered some questions for them. We haven't heard about an offer, so I don't think they're that interested yet. We finished the evening when we headed up to Troy to have dinner with Dathan and Natalie.

Today we worked the nursery at church (7 babies, only 2 people= exhausting!) and then had lunch at Jessica and Aaron's while someone else was supposed to be looking at our house. We don't think they ever showed, which is REALLY annoying. Then we went and bought mulch and did the front yard, it looks really nice. We cleaned up the back yard a bit and are now getting ready to reheat our leftovers from last night's dinner. OYE!

Thanks goodness only one week until we're on vacation!

Oh.....I almost forgot to mention......We bought a house this weekend!!!!!!!!!

Must have slipped my mind.....HAHAHA!!! We sealed the deal and will soon be the proud owners of 1835 Thornwood Court. We close June 7th and take possession June 11th. We're gambling that our house will sell by then. But we have the money to pay two mortgages. The only two things that would prevent us from buying it would be if we didn't get our loan approved (I've been assured we'll have no problems) and if something went horribly wrong with the home inspections.

I'm going to head up there and take some pictures of the inside in a week or two and I'll be sure to post them. We're really excited, obviously. It comes with a HOT TUB! WooooHoooo! We're going to throw Kendall's graduation party up there, so I'll let you know when it is. Here's a picture of the front of the house.

The shower is fixed....sort of. Long story. We're going to keep working on it. At least I got to enjoy a nice warm day off yesterday. AND I got a pedicure. Here are my cute new toes!

We have another request from a realtor to view our house on Saturday at 2:45. Maybe it'll sell! We're making progress on our house hunting. Let's just say things are heading forward very quickly. *grin* I'll tell you more later!

I'm at home today

So our shower is broken! Grrrrrrrrrr......

I got up at 6 and tried to turn it on and it trickles! All of the other plumbing seems to be working just fine. My sink, my water filter, my toilet, all fine. THANK GOD. So I had to drive to work at 6:45 this morning to put together sub plans. My sub is like 75 years old and was talking my ear off when he got there. Needless to say, instead of getting out of the building at 7:30 when i was finished, I left the building at almost 8. I just didn't want the kids seeing me like a total scrub!

One kid said, "Mrs. Erdahl, did you do something different to your hair?" and and I replied, "Yes, this is called 'Essence of Dirt'. Do you like it?" The kids laughed. Then another kid said I looked different and I said it was the lack of makeup and clean skin. I don't really care that they saw me that way, I just wanted to get home to call the plumber!

Now I'm waiting on them to call me back and give me a time that they'll be here. At least I have the day off to relax. That being said, if anyone wants to have lunch, you're more than welcome to come over! But I'll be dirty!

Pet Peeve

Okay, quickly here....

I got snapped at by my boss. I don't mean verbally. I mean he literally took his fingers and snapped them at me today! I HATE THAT! I am not a waitress and even waitresses don't deserve to be snapped at! I was out in the hallway during an assembly in the auditorium and he wanted me to be quiet, so he snapped his fingers and frowned at me! GRRRRRRRRRR.....

The worst part is that I was talking to a student and Intervention Specialist about what I would like the girl to accomplish during 8th period. I wasn't just chitchatting with a friend in the hall. We were talking at a low volume too! After he did it, I turned to the Specialist and said, "Oh no he didn't...." and even the student commented that she would never let someone snap their fingers at her like that.

*blood boiling*

I just can't stand this boss anymore. He's an idiot! And he just needs to retire! He can barely remember his own name sometimes! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

So here is a list of the things that are frustrating me today....

1. Our realty company- We were supposed to have someone look at our house yesterday at 5. Yes, I said SUPPOSED TO. I guess they cancelled and the realty company was supposed to call us. They didn't. My realtor is "looking into who was supposed to call". Whatever. It's not going to fix the fact that we were cleaning our house like crazy yesterday morning and had to wait to come home until after 6pm.

2. Our neighborhood- we had two people cancel their appointments to look at the house because they drove through our neighborhood and didn't like where our house was located. THAT SUCKS. Our neighborhood is not Compton! It's East Dayton! There are no drive bys. I promise.

3. The Feds- we owe them 1700 this year! We owed them 2000 last year! I HATE paying taxes!

4. Our employers- This piggybacks on the Feds. We found out from H&R Block that our employers are not using the right tax tables and are not sending enough of our money each month. That's why we owe money! If they had been using updated tax tables we would have broken even this year!

5. The weather- it was so freaking gloomy today! And last week it was sunny and in the 60's! Well now it's going to do the same thing at the end of this week. It's all just a tease! I can't take it! I want mild weather, and I want it to stay!

6. My period/miscarriage- This thing seriously needs to be over. I've been bleeding for 36 or 37 days straight. I can't even remember how many it is anymore because it's been happening for so freaking long! I can't have sex when I'm bleeding! (Sorry TMI) I want to have sex! Sex is good! Sex is fun! (Are you eyes bleeding yet?) You all know how hot my husband is! I want to have sex with him! (Okay, at least I'm cheering myself up with my own humor)

7. Vacation time- I want to go on a vacation in June or July but I have no idea where I want to go. Plus, I'm cheap. I don't want to drop a lot of cash. On top of that, it's hard to plan more than a few weeks in advance when you don't know when your house will sell or when you're moving.

8. Moving- I want to buy and move now! I'm tired of driving through dowtown Dayton to get to work. On a daily basis there is some type of accident that I have to deal with! And I don't want our super cool house in Troy to sell before we can get to it! Grrrrrr.......

Okay, that's enough. I'm just cranky. At least my People Magazine FINALLY came today! It usually comes on Fridays, but for some myserious reason it wasn't there. I secretly think the mailman kept it over the weekend so he could read it! Counting down the days til I get to see the Eutslers again, it's going to be the highlight of my week!

Ahh, Friday

First, I would just like to say that I'm highly disappointed in some of my readers. Sarah F is the only one who was concerned about my body piercing...and for the record, I haven't pierced anything below my neck. I just wanted to see how carefully everyone reads! LOL!

So I had one of those moments at school today. I was teaching a lesson writing a business letter to the kids. We were writing the address of the recipient on the overhead and I spelled the last name of the recipient wrong. It was supposed to be spelled S-C-H-U-L-T-Z. I accidentally spelled it S-C-H-L-U-T-Z. To make matters worse, the kids pointed out my spelling error and I said, "That's okay, I like Schlutz!" (Make sure you read it out loud. It's funnier.....) We all started cracking up! I actually started laughing before everyone else. I realized as soon as it came out of my mouth that I had said something incredibly stupid and funny. Ahhhh, middle school......

I'm taking 40 kids to the ballet tonight. Through Muse Machine (a local arts program that we run in schools) I got some cheap tickets. Some of the kids aren't thrilled about going, but I told them that they need to at least try it. If they hate if afterwards, that's okay. But part of the goal of Muse Machine is to expose kids to different types of art. And ballet is one of them. I'm looking forward to it.

We got a call today that someone else would like to look at our house on Sunday at 5! Our realtor told us that if we got one request a week we were doing good for our neighborhood! So I guess we're doing good! Getting the house ready was VERY stressful. But suprisingly actually having the house up for sale is a lot more fun. The cleaning sucks, but the excitement of that phone call that someone wants to see it makes it worth it! The anticipation is killing me!

But they'd be more than happy to schedule me another expensive appointment to sit down and talk with the doctor. Yeah right.

4. My husband can be a royal butt head sometimes. He hasn't bothered to call anyone back in almost two weeks about his contracts. Meanwhile, we're losing out on time that the signing bonus could be gaining interest in an account. Not to mention the fact that it's just polite to let people know what's going on. Don't even get me started....

I Guess I Can Share This Now

So this was my Thursday.....

But before you get too excited. It's already dead. Now we're just waiting to see if it's stuck in my fallopian tube or if it already miscarried. *sigh* I have no idea what we're going to do.......

I do know that I've "cowboy'd up" (as Sawyer would say) and I'm heading back to work tomorrow. I don't really want to, I'm pretty down still, but I refuse to let my boss think I'm a nut case. He already saw me fall apart in his office over the doctor's news on Friday. I had to go home at 11 o'clock because I was so upset.

Basically, I was definitely pregnant, and with my highest amount of HCG (baby hormone) ever. But I was bleeding the whole time (what I thought was my 28 day period was really my 8 week pregnancy) and my HCG started dropping off. Now I have to go for bloodwork every two days to make sure it keeps dropping. If it doesn't drop that they're 99% sure it's an ectopic pregnancy and then I have to have an ultrasound and some shots to make the embryo abort from my fallopian tube. It sounds gross. And sad. So I hope my little baby is already gone.

On a very strange note that I hope will make you laugh, since it made us laugh, we named it "Dead Millie". I hope no one is offended. It makes us feel better to add some humor to the situation. I obviously got my share of tears out over this, but after going through this three previous times, it just gets easier, as weird as that sounds to say.

The smallest hope was that we actually fertilized another egg. So I'm not 100% defective, just 50%. *sigh* I have no idea what we're going to do. Maybe my house will sell and I won't have to think about it!

Why Don't We Have Cool TV Like This In the United States?!?!?!

KOLKATA, India (Reuters) -- When dozens of chickens went missing from a remote West Bengal village, everyone blamed the neighborhood dogs.

But Ajit Ghosh, the owner of the missing chickens, eventually solved the puzzle when he caught his cow -- a sacred animal for the Hindu family -- gobbling up several of them at night.

"We were shocked to see our calf eating chickens alive," Ghosh told Reuters by phone from Chandpur village, about 240 kilometers (150 miles) northwest of Kolkata.

The family decided to stand guard at night on Monday at the cow shed which also served as a hen coop, after 48 chickens went missing in a month.

"Instead of the dogs, we watched in horror as the calf, whom we had fondly named Lal, sneak to the coop and grab the little ones with the precision of a jungle cat," Gour Ghosh, his brother, said.

Local television pictures showed the cow grabbing and eating a chicken in seconds and a vet confirmed the case.

"We think lack of vital minerals in the body is causing this behavior. We have taken a look and have asked doctors to look into the case immediately," Mihir Satpathy, a district veterinary officer, said by phone."

"This strange behavior is possible in some exceptional cases," Satpathy said.
Hundreds of villagers flocked to Chandpur on Wednesday to catch a glimpse of Lal, enjoying his bundle of green grass for a change.

"The local vets said the cow was probably suffering from a disease but others said Lal was a tiger in his previous birth," Ajit added.

Good News/Fertilty News

Warning to all boys that may read my blog....this is about girl stuff. You might not want to read it.......you've been warned.

So I mentioned a little over a week ago that I'd had my period for 17 days. I'm now on day 24. Yeah. Gross. 24 days. Killer. The good news is that it's a normal period right now. I know, how does anyone think that's good news? Well, it meant that I got to go to the doctor yesterday to see if my cyst was gone...and it is! HOORAY! Everything seemed to look okay in there. I watched as she probed around and it all looked like normal. I was pleased. I also found out when I went to check out that all of my ultrasounds are covered by my health insurance! That was GREAT news, because I thought I owed them like 600 bucks. My understanding was that infertility is not covered at all my United. I wasn't going to argue and so I left with a lot of extra cash still in my pocket.

That's the good news.

The other half of the news is that Kendall and I are stopping treatment. The nurse seemed suprised when I told her and she tried to convince me otherwise. She wanted me to sit down and talk with the doctor about it. I told her that Kendall and I were comfortable with our decision and that if we wanted to talk to Dr. B we would schedule our own appointment. I reassured her that I would continue to take my medication in case I got pregnant and that we would call them if I did so that I could start my Heprin injections to hopefully prevent miscarriage.

After dealing with this cyst I don't think I can take the Clomid for a while because it's just too stressful thinking about the possibility of getting another one. And i was really only taking it to speed up the process of getting pregnant again. I don't need the Clomid to ovulate (although, I'm worried because I didn't ovulate this month with the cyst) it was just aiding us in the process by providing more eggs each month.

I'm very conflicted with my decision. In some ways I'm glad that we stopped because it was just a lot of time and money. I was missing work for it and we were paying for all of the drugs and shots and inseminations. We're not really quitting, we're just going back to the natural way. Kendall's counts have been very high the last few months so insemination wasn't really necessary. Once again, just a means to a faster end.

At the same time, I wonder if quitting all of that treatment is going to put us even further behind. It's that time of year right now where everyone and their mom is having a baby. Just look at all of the baby showers people have been talking about in their blogs! And it's also that time of the year when I'm incredibly jealous of anyone who is pregnant. It's hard. Especially with Karen's baby shower being right around the corner. It's a huge reminder that it should have been me first. Hell, I should be on my second shower. I've been trying long enough to already be having baby number two. It would just be nice to be able to go to someone else's baby shower with the knowledge that mine was just months down the road. That possibility is getting slimmer by the minute and going to the tried and true method of baby making just lessens our odds even more. Less sperm getting to their important destination.

The biggest decision made though was that if we get pregnant again and miscarry for a fourth time, we're going to start the adoption process. I really wanted to give this new treatment concept a shot first. To see if it would really fix the problem. I figure at this rate we'll be moved into our next house before we find out if it works!

So that's my news. Good and slightly sad at the same time. Still no sign in the front yard so now picture of that yet. I'm not going to write about our second choice house yet because we decided to go look at it with the realtor first to see what he thinks. Plus, they don't have any cool pictures loaded for you to look at. I'll let you know.

Well, It's Done!

So we signed all of the paper work to list our house today. Aaron is coming over tomorrow to take pictures to put on the web. We're going to set up a virtual tour! Now everyone that has never been to our house (most of you have) can see what it looks like. And those of you that HAVE been to our house, can admire how clean it is! LOL! I'll let you know when the tour is set up and how you can view it.

We worked our asses off. I really hope it pays off. Our realtor seemed pretty happy with it. I know he wasn't happy that we opted out of replacing the carpet. And I defintely know he's not happy about our asking price. But we'll never know if we can get that price if we don't try asking. We can always go lower later.

We have a few more projects to finish in the next couple of days, but overall, the house is show quality. On the list to still do:

1. Railings- They need to go up so our house will pass FHA inspection.
2. Caulking in the kitchen- we just haven't had time, but it doesn't take long and dries fast
3. Bulk Pick-up- We have to get the trash people scheduled to come take our huge amount of trash. We've been leaving it in the basement until we call. It needs to be hauled out this week.

I really can't believe it's finally done and officially "For Sale". I'll take a picture of the sign in the front yard when it shows up! Hooray! Somebody hurry up and buy my house! Tomorrow I'll tell you about the new house we found that we're touring with our realtor on Thursday. It may be "the one"......if only we can sell!

A Bit of a Scare

I wanted to get this on here before I left for work today so that I could tell you about Kendall's dad.

He's okay, but yesterday he had a heart cath and they found a short blockage. They put in a small stint to reopen the artery. That's not the scarey part. When we got to the hospital in Columbus to visit (it was his birthday!) his mom told us the scarey part. The artery was 98% blocked in that area and if it had actually closed (100% blockage) he would have had a serious heart attack. The scariest part....it was the MAJOR artery in your heart. They call it....The Widowmaker.

Yeah, creepy. So we're super happy that everything has gone okay and that he didn't need bypass surgery. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers for the next couple of days. As far as Kendall tells us, he's going to be just fine. But it was still a scarey thought to think he really could have died if they hadn't addressed this when they did.
