Failure.
I told Kendall to just bring one home from the hospital tomorrow. Good thing today is People Magazine Day. Time to go read and watch Pride and Prejudice.
Musings and opinions on a life filled with work, a husband, a toddler, a newborn and two crazy dogs.

Why is it?
Okay, this is me bitching....sorry in advance I guess....
Why is it that no one comments on my blog unless I have something sad or upsetting to say? When I write random blogs- Just like everyone else- there are no comments left.
I wonder if people would even notice if I stopped blogging...I think that's what I'll do.

Veronica Mars
Well, no one requested it, but since I'm so totally obsessed with it I decided to write an entry anyways.
If you haven't seen the show it's about a 17 year old girl whose best friend, Lily, winds up dead (don't worry I don't ruin anything by telling you that, it's on the back of the box). She is attempting to find who the real killer is, because the man behind bars seems "fishy". Veronica used to be a part of the popular crowd, but when her dad, the sheriff, accused Lily's dad of being the murderer she basically lost all of her friends.
Now her dad is a P.I. and she's a bad ass. She doesn't take crap from anyone at school and she's super smart and crafty about getting the things that she wants. Or getting even with people who mess with her. She says tons of witty things. I can't think of a single episode where I haven't laugh out loud. I guess I appreciate Veronica because she's my kind of gal. She just tells it how it is and she's able to convey herself in an overly sarcastic manner and yet she still has a sensitive side. Plus, there are lots of twists to the plot/her search.
We're almost finished with the first Season and we're going to lend it to friends, but if anyone wants it after them, let me know. I highly suggest you give it a try.

Might As Well Jump on the Bandwagon
Everyone else seems to do a "weekend update" so I guess I'll do that for once too. Although I would have blogged about both incidents anyways....but I warn you, this one will be long.
Saturday we went for our second "basting". Let me just say that if it had gone this badly the FIRST day, I would have been very anxious on the second day. Needless to say, this time it hurt. I can't say it was gut wrenching pain, but she jabbed me and I yelled and then she jumped and pulled everything out and had to do it over again. It was not fun.
Came home afterwards and continued watching Veronica Mars on DVD. I
haven't said anything about the series in my blog yet....but I LOVE it. We're watching Season 1. Season 2 will come out in August and I can't wait! If you ever want to hear about it, send requests for a blog and I'll be more than happy to devote an entire entry to her. Anyways, we folded clothes, made taco dip, and bought balloons for Jessica G-J's graduation party. Went to the graduation party later that evening. Not a lot of people showed up and everyone bailed by 8PM. I know G-J was disappointed. We stayed longer and ended up playing dominos until 10. I won. Cause I have mad domino skills. Hehe.
Sunday was of course Mother's Day. My m.i.l. called and asked if they could go to church with us. I secretly think she just wanted to spy on us and once again judge me. Kendall and I got into a mild arguement about what he was wearing (He wanted to tuck in his button down while he was wearing jeans. I told him I was married to a 28 year old man, not a 60 year old. I made him change three times.) and I (accurately) predicted that his parents would be overdressed and I would look like the black sheep. I then proceeded to tell Kendall that I guess it was okay because I already knew I was the black sheep of the family....the crazy, liberal, feminist, daughter-in-law that she never thought she would have.
Church went fine and then they came over for lunch. I was feeling bratty so I didn't help make anything. Kendall ended up charring the steaks. So I ate side dishes while everyone else gnawed through the black charcoal they calld T-bones. The in-laws ended up staying and helping us put up our window boxes and then m.i.l. and I went to buy flowers for them. It was an awkward ride without Kendall as a buffer. It usually is. We briefly talked about the "basting". Once again, very awkward. My boxes came out very nice though. Once they grow out they'll be very beautiful. I'll make sure to get a picture on here later.
Had a hilarious conversation with my family on the phone when I called to say Happy Mothers Day and ask a gardening question. My m.i.l. kept staring at me as I laughed and yelled into the cell phone at them all. The whole fam was over my grandparent's. They were yelling and screeching...fighting over the the Gucci purses my grandma was intending to give ME! We all had a good time yelling at each other and in the end, I made out with not one, but TWO Gucci's and a makeup bag to boot! Yeah designer purses!
Ate Chinese food when Dathan and Natalie arrived and then everyone left and we bunkered down for Depserate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy...which, let me tell you, if GW breaks into my G.A. time tonight, I'm going to kill him. I am so excited about the two hour season finale! Oh, and I bought the first season on DVD, so Karen if you want to borrow it let me know. Okay, that's enough.

What the H*ll?!?!!?
Okay, the saying does NOT go, "April showers bring May...SHOWERS!" What the crap is with this totally lousy weather? I just went onto weather.com and looked at the 10 day forcast. RAIN every day except next Saturday. WHAT THE CRAP????? It totally does not feel like the end of the school year because of this rainy, cold weather!
I'm back off to Vandalia to walk for our middle school in the Relay for Life with the rest of my 8th grade team. They were a lot of fun today and made me laugh a lot about yesterday's procedure. Like I told them, I guess it's better to laugh than to cry.

Well, let's just say it was okay. I wouldn't say it hurt. I did cry. And I have to do it again on Saturday. I don't think I can get into it more than that. Let's just say it better work, cause I definitly don't want to do it another month. Especially at 300 bucks a pop...for a total of 600 this month! Ugh! So it's back to work tomorrow and then back for basting again on Saturday.
Oh, and I bought the Nick Lachey CD today. Go ahead and judge me, but I think he sounds really sexy on it.

Bless The Broken Road
I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
Now I’m just rollin’ home into my lover's arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you
It's a really good thing Kendall and I love each other a lot. We're not fighting anymore and I think Melissa was right when she said a lot of it is hormones and emotions. I'm just overwhelmed this week. This song really is true though. I'm so lucky to have a man like Kendall, even when he is driving me nuts and I feel like he's not giving me everything I need. He does his best to make things better and try harder, and that's all I can ask for. I've appreciated all of the words of encouragement over the past few days. Each day I get more anxious and a little bit more sad, but I'm going to go through with it because the most important thing is that I want to start a family with the incredibly hard working man I call my husband. The idea of seeing his eyes in a child that we created together makes everything else seem trivial. *Tear*

I'm Really Not Having a Good Week....
So I've been fighting with Kendall for over 24 hours now. This is the worst fight we've ever had. I've been hopped up on hormones all week and I'm nervous as hell about this whole procedure this week. On top of all of that Kendall tells me he's not taking his boards til August....which we've been fighting about for the last year and he SAID he was going to take them in June.
This all led to much bigger issues about how he doesn't tell me things and most importantly how I've been feeling second best to his job. And I'm really tired of it. I really need him to prove to me that I'm the number one thing in his life and that if I need him, he's going to be there. Because lately I haven't felt that way at all.
On top of all of that, we've actually been fighting over the phone all day because of course...he's at work. I'm just so tired of it. My whole life is on hold because of his. And it's physically and emotionally draining.

Ugh.
So I've been reading up on insemination.....and at least our "odds" are better. The closer I get to the day the more worried I get. I'm worried it will hurt. I'm worried I'll cry. I'm worried that I'll get my hopes up again. I'm worried it won't work. I'm worried that I'll worry too much and screw up my ovulation!
The whole things still has me pretty upset. I try not to think about it but inevitably I can't stop my mind from coming back to it. I really didn't think I'd take it this hard or be this unhappy about it. I assumed I'd be able to step back and say, "Whatever it takes!" But it just makes me so sad.
