So I won't be around for a week. We're leaving for DC on Tuesday. So no harrassing! I'll be shaking hands with GW (not really, I'd have to use hand sanitizer afterwards) and taking pictures in front of the million year old dinosaurs. Here are some fun pictures I found in a box in my basement to tide you over....

A Day to Bitch

Okay, seriously, I need to do a little bitching today. Nothing serious. Just some personal and some random complaints...

1. Stupid period. Again. For the 21st month in a row. GARRRR!!!!

2. WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush signed a bill Thursday authorizing the construction of a fence along one-third of the 2,100-mile U.S. border with Mexico, but missing from the legislation is a means to pay for it. What the crap is this all about? I'm sure as hell not letting my tax dollars pay for a stupid ass fence to keep out Mexicans that will just climb over it or dig under it when my own freaking yard doesn't have a privacy fence yet. I live in a neighborhood with lots of illegal immigrants, do I get a cut of this fence? (I'm sorry, it's really rude, but it needs to be said.)

3. Co-workers who work during their lunch shouldn't try to eat lunch with people who just want to sit and goof off. I go to my friend's room every day to talk and laugh and discuss our favorite TV shows. I do NOT go there to talk about my job. One of my teammates has been showing up to lunch doing just that. Yesterday, Kendall came to eat lunch with me, and this co-worker would not stop bugging me about work, something we could have taken care of after school. Even Kendall was annoyed!

4. Britney Spears has named her second baby son Jayden James -- and that, finally, is official. The September 12 birth certificate, filed with Los Angeles officials this week, was the latest twist in the rumor and secrecy that marked the arrival of the once publicity-hungry pop star's second baby. Not only was the birth at a Los Angeles hospital never officially announced by Spears or her husband Kevin Federline, but sources close to the couple led the world's media to believe that the boy had been named Sutton Pierce. This is why you should have to apply for a license to have a baby. She would never pass the test.

5. I'm really getting tired of my neighbor across the street letting her friends park in my spot. Now I know it's a public street and open to any cars, but does she really need to let her friend park her car directly in front of my house? No. She could tell her to park down a block and walk, just like every other neighbor tells their guests to do out of courtesy.

6. DENVER, Colorado (AP) -- A powerful snowstorm dumped 18 inches of snow in parts of the Colorado mountains and spread eastward Thursday, snarling traffic and shutting down dozens of school districts. Where the hell is MY 18 inches of snow and a snow day?!?!?!?!!!

7. Stupid, stupid period.

8. One to add after the fact. I just went to Arby's to get a quick meal. Now I don't expect much of the fast food industry. However, I do expect a little respect, no matter where I am getting service. I also expect to get what I paid for. The Arby's I went to this evening gave me neither. My cup was covered in pop when the drive-thru employee tried to hand it to me. I politely asked him to clean off the cup. He sighed, and after shoving the cup and food back out the window at me, he slammed the window and I didn't get so much as a "Thank you" or "Have a nice evening". There's the rudeness. When I got the food home, it was cold, soggy, and drenched in mayo. I dealt with it, because there was no way I was going back, and turned to my cherry turnover. As I bit in, I discovered my cherry turnover was actually an apple turnover...and it too was soggy and cold. Not getting what I paid for. RI-DIC-U-LOUS.

I'm seriously bored with my blog layout. Everytime I try to find something cool, I screw it up or am missing the process. Can someone please find me a new template that is cool looking and actually works? I'm looking for something I can literally cut and paste. And I'm worried that Beta Blogger won't let me do it at all. I seriously spent over an hour playing with it today in complete frustration.

I'm dying here people!

Life As a Rockstar- Part 1

I'm just in one of those moods today. Tomorrow is a field day at school and we're all dressing as the Grey's Anatomy cast, I'm McWitchy. Hehehe. I promised some friends that I would start my "Life as a Rockstar" column, something I vow to do at least once a month until Kendall graduates and starts his "real" job, when we'll start living like, of course, rockstars. I'll try to keep it under 20 a list. So here is this month's list of things we'll do when we're living like rockstars:

1. Use valet parking at malls, theaters, anywhere that offers it.
2. Use nothing but Evian water for bathing, doing laundry, washing dishes, mopping floors, etc.
3. Use $100 bills in the bathroom. (Do I really need to explain?)

4. Wear cashmere everthing. Straight down to the undies.
5. Eat prime rib at least once a week
6. Put platinum rims on our pimped out Cadillac Escalade
7. Start calling our house our "crib"
8. Use a money clip instead of a wallet to show off our wads of cash
9. Start referring to my boss as "my bitch"
10. Ram cars on the highway that piss me off
11. Own my own GAP
12. Have two walk in closets...for my shoes
13. Wear 2 carat diamond rings on both of my pinky fingers
14. Buy horses and diamonds
15. Dye Maggie's hair pink

Mouse Trap!

My mom came down to visit for the long weekend and we had a great time.

Saturday was by far the highlight of the weekend. We started the day by making a huge pot of chili and re-covering my last two dining room chairs. While mom and I did that, Kendall went to pick up our free treadmill from a coworker. I LOVE free. It's actually a pretty nice machine.

Then we headed to the Yellow Springs Street Festival. It was packed. We walked around visiting all of the various craft booths and even went into the hemp store to giggle and try on hemp hats. My mother was fascinated that they actually had a store in Yellow Springs that sold all hemp products. We also found some great hand woven baskets at a ridiculously cheap price and scooped up a couple. On the way home from the festival, we witnessed a girl lighting up her bowl in the passenger seat of the car behind us. It was great! (If you know anything about Yellow Springs, the humor of this incident is not lost on you.) My mom even made pot smoking gestures out the back window at them. HA!

When we got home, I went to put all of my living room blankets into the large basket I had bought for them and found...mouse poop! I was freaked out. We had cleaned poop out of the house when we moved in and hadn't seen any in a long time. Two weeks ago we found some droppings in the same blankets and thought they had to be really old. I guess not. So I went out to the hardware store to buy mouse traps before our friends came over to chili.

The chili and the company was excellent, and at the end of the meal, while we all snacked on peanut butter cookies that my mom and I had made from scratch the day before, we all put our names on the bottom of a mouse trap. 8 traps, 8 names. We decided it would be like playing Survivor. If your trap caught a mouse, you were out of the game. We even took pictures of ourselves with the traps. (I'll post the one of me and Jessica when she gets it to me.) We set the traps with peanut butter and headed out bowling.

I had a really crappy night of bowling (I didn't break 100 in either game). When we got back home, I made mom and Kendall check the traps. All of the living room ones were clear. The two visible kitchen ones too. Then they looked in the corner, and there it was. The mouse. Caught by his leg and tail. Of course, they told me, and I cried. I went upstairs while they disposed of it, I couldn't bear to see it, esp. if it was still alive (they told me it wasn't). When I came back down I sadly asked, "Okay, who's trap was it?" Mom's response, "We weren't going to tell you....but I can't lie...it was yours!" Oh the irony! They also assured me that it was an ugly mouse. Nothing like Stuart Little. Buggy eyes with fangs, according to Kendall. When I called Jessica she said, "Oh good, it was ugly so it deserved to die!" We left the traps out again and caught nothing.

There are currently no other mice in any of the stinking traps. I'm the only one who has lost the freaking game! Stupid mouse...hopefully we don't find any more mouse poop and we can pitch the other traps soon!

GO FLYERS!

We're really late in doing this and may get super crappy seats, but who wants to get season tickets with us to the basketball games? It's $85 bucks a seat for 19 home games. Even if we only used it for a couple games it would be worth it to get into the Xavier game. Who wants to get seats with us? Anyone? Anyone? We'll send our money by Monday.

Too Good Not to Share Here...

For those of you who don't know Karen, I thought I would share this here because it was freaking hilarious!
-------------------------------
A woman was leaving a convenience store with her morning coffee when she noticed a most unusual funeral procession approaching the nearby cemetery.

A long black hearse was followed by a second long black hearse 50 feet behind the first one. Behind the second hearse was a solitary woman walking a pit bull on a leash. Behind her, a short distance back, were about 200 women walking single file.

The woman was so curious that she respectfully approached the woman walking the dog and said, "I am so sorry for your loss, and I know now is a bad time to disturb you, but I have never seen a funeral like this. Whose funeral is it?"

"My husband's."

"What happened to him?"

The woman replied, "My dog attacked and killed him."

She inquired further, "Well, who is in the second hearse?"

The woman answered, "My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my husband when the dog turned on her."

A poignant and thoughtful moment of silence passed between the two women.

"Can I borrow the dog?"

"Get in line."

Things of Note-At least in my Mind

1. Let me start out by saying that in the amount of time between when I blogged last and now:
a. All of my utilities still functioned
b. No one repossessed my car
c. My credit report was not ruined
You know who you are and why I am blogging that....TE HE!

2. You know it's time to do laundry when you no longer have any clean underwear.

3. I went down to the basement to get said clean underwear and wanted to cry after seeing the sheer volume of CRAP I am going to have to go through when we move in 2 1/2 years.

4. Tall Stacks would have been a complete waste of my hard earned money...if I'd spent any of my hard earned money that is. The cruise we went on was sub-par. Terrible food, too many people, very little organization on the crew's part. The entertainment was WONDERFUL. It was the only thing that made the cruise worth while.

5. I'm LOVING Heroes. I think it has a catchy story line and it keeps me wondering from week to week just like LOST.

6. I have a three day work week, and you don't. I took yesterday off to go to the doctor...it was icky and no real answers were given. I have Friday off because of Western Ohio Education Associaton Day. Hell yeah! You're jealous, you know it!

7. How exactly did that fish biscut taste on LOST last week? They seemed to like it. Sawyer and Kate kept eatting it. Did it taste like fish? Or was it shaped that way just to demean them?

Another List Kind of Day

I have lots of thoughts floating around in my head today. I'll just make a random list of them here....

1. Great weekend in many respects, also slightly crappy. On Friday we went to Karen's house and had a great time kicking ass at Pop Culture Trivial Pursuit. Unfortunatly, upon my arrival, Aunt Flo also made her arrival. Gross and unexpected as it was a day early. Also meant we weren't prego. Bummer. Saturday was spent getting our haircut, having lunch with the in-laws, shopping, and getting to see my niece. In a sad moment, Kendall was holding her in a store and a lady came up and asked him questions about her, assuming it was his baby. It made me tear up. Sucked to have to tell her that she wasn't ours. Saturday night we went to game night at Jessica and Aaron's. Sunday was church, yardwork, and TV.

2. Speaking of Saturday...Kendall got his final set of board scores back, and he passed with flying colors! Now he can apply for his medical license and become a fully paid doctor! WHOO! HOO! This means he can officially start looking for a job. Any leads?

3. Church is starting to stress me out. There has been quite a falling out, so to speak, ever since our senior pastor admitted to a porn problem that, rumor has it, lead to an affair several months ago. He was allowed to come back by the church council after only a short hiatus and a week of "intense counseling" with his wife. Many people in our Sunday school class were upset and several couples have already left the church to attend Apex. This has caused a rift between friends. Especially between the "Jessicas". And I'm feeling stuck in the middle. Jessica G-J is hurt that Jessica S decided to leave our church. She's choosing not to speak to her for an undetermined period of time, but she hasn't really told Jessica S she's mad. But she knows. Jessica S, as you know, just had her baby. This rift is hard on her. Furthermore, it now means I can't hang out with two of my closest friends simultaneously. We used to get together all the time, with our husbands and eat and play games. Now that can't happen. Stress.....

4. Work has been wonderful, except for my boss. He was very insistent on coming in to observe my kids this quarter, even though it as nothing to do with my evaluation this year. He asked me again today when he could come in, I told him whenever he wanted. He chose today to come watch our review game. At the end of the period he came up and acted like he wanted to talk to me about something, and then said, "We can talk later." Whatever, I'm sure he'll have something bad to say to me even though both the kids, and I had a great time. He also asked me when I was going to give him a copy of all of the paperwork for my project (like it was my fault and really late) and I told him, "I emailed it to you a week and a half ago." He's seriously losing it. He's so disorganized and at the same time full of himself. He thinks he's this great leader, but quite honestly, over half of the staff thinks he's a joke. I can't wait til he leaves.

5. TV is officially in full swing starting this week. I can't wait for the Veronica Mars and LOST season premiers.

6. I haven't been to the gym in 4 months. My goal is to start going again 3 days a week.

7. I know I haven't really mentioned baby stuff in a while in my blog. After my public fight with Suzanne, I felt I needed to keep quite for a while. I just figured I'd let you all know that I'm going in for an ultrasound to make sure I don't have anything funny going on in my uterus. The doctor is also running lab work to make sure my immune system isn't killing my embryos. I really like the new doctor. He's taken a lot of stress out of my life by his confident actions and decisions. I'm also not taking Clomid for at least 4 months. I can honestly tell you that I feel like a totally different person after this month. My body really needed a Clomid cleansing. I feel less depressed and I took my period coming a lot easier knowing that it wasn't costing us any money and I wasn't going to have to take any hormones.

Okay, enough. God, I can't believe you read all of this!
