I'm Getting Crapped on Today.

Seriously, I had a whole freaking blog written out and went to save a draft of it, and it deleted the whole f*cking thing! ARGH!!!!!!!!

I'm too tired to write the whole freaking thing out again, so here's the condensed version. Blogger B*stards.....

Friday
Went to a kick ass concert with Suzanne. Our friend Keith was the drummer in the band. We also got to see several friends and acquaintances from high school. It was hot, but fun. Here's a picture of me and Dena. You can see how flushed we look, and that's not even from drinking!

Saturday
Spent the whole day with my mom. We went shopping and had dinner with my grandparents. They were thrilled to see me. It's definitely an ego boost. I really only see them for holidays and funerals so that was a treat. My grandpa even told a story that would be way too inappropriate to publish here for fear of small children reading it. Plus you need to see the hand motions to get the full effect. Then we went over to my aunt and uncles and once again all shared stories that are too inappropriate to publish here. I guess that's your motivation to come visit me. *grin*

Sunday
Took Billy shopping and helped set up for his birthday party. It was hot and boring, but I survived. Took the kids with me to Target later in the afternoon and got stuck in a huge thunderstorm. While we were in the building and Billy went to get a shopping cart, the lights went out! We could barely see and we all freaked out a little bit. When the lights came back on we did what every other person in the store did, we kept shopping! The funniest part is that we headed all the way to the back to play in the electronic section and the lights went out again! The back of the store was PITCH BLACK. We all enjoyed the second scare and agreed it was time to leave. Once again showing the power of the "all-mighty dollar", the generator not only ran back up lights for the store, but all the registers and credit card machine. My dad took me out that night to buy my sewing machine. It's a Singer that makes over 70 different types of stiches. And it's pretty much idiot proof, which is just what I need. Now pick your jaw up off the floor, don't make any comments, and I might make you something pretty.

Monday
Seriously, today was a bad day. On my way from my dad's to my mom's I was driving past a road crew who were mowing with giant weed whackers. One stupid kid was facing the street while he did it, and of course, as I drove past him he shot a HUGE rock at my car window and shattered the window into a million little pieces. I pulled over and ran back and yelled at him about being so stupid as to face the street and demanded to see his supervisor so I could find out who was paying for my window. Long story short, the stupid city got out of paying for the window because of some State Code and I had to use my own insurance. At least Kendall and I are spoiled and we pay for full comprehensive coverage, so no deductible. So no cost out of pocket. And our rates won't go up because of the nature of the situation. The rest of the drive was fine except for the fact that I was greasy and nasty and missed having breakfast with my mom because of it. And the two hours in phone calls I had to make to get everything taken care of. But the cop did flirt with me....*grin*

I know you're saying to yourself, "This was the condensed version?!?!!" I guess you should just be greatful for those Blogger B*stards.

It's Official, God Hates Me

No cousin for Anna this month. I don't know if she'll ever have one....*sigh*

So Bored I Could Die!

It's so annoying when you call people and leave them a voicemail or message on their machine and they don't even bother to check the stupid machine! ARGH!!!!

I seriously need to get back to work because I'm super bored! I'm so bored that I'm getting a headache!

Mac Commercial Spoof

This cracked me up! I hope nobody's offended by it.

Since NO ONE ELSE is Blogging...

I'll make a new list!

1. Happy Birthday Billy! He's 13 today. I held him in my arms the day he came home from the hospital. I can't believe he's a teenager now. OYE!

2. I got antsy and took a pregnancy test this morning, the day before my period is due, and it was definitely negative. I'll still wait and see if my period comes tomorrow and probably test again on Thrusday if it doesn't, but I'm already mentally prepared for the worst tomorrow. It sucks.

3. I haven't mentioned this yet, because I didn't want to spoil my announcement of Anna, but it was a hard weekend for me. My sister-in-law was a total champ. She barely took any pain meds and managed to deliver a 9 pound baby with hardly any complaints. It made things a lot easier and it raised my admiration of her quite a few notches. It was very hard to hold Anna though. She's a beautiful little baby, but all it did was remind me of the two miscarriages we've had. When we went over for my birthday celebration on Sunday it was hard to see her in their house, because once again it reminded me that we could have a little one at home. Just seeing her and being able to hold her and kiss her makes the hurt even worse, but I still love her.

4. I've been marathon watching Gilmore Girls. I love this show! Not as much as Veronica Mars or Grey's Anatomy or Lost, but it 's such fun to watch them banter back and forth. Anyone who's seen it knows what I'm talking about.

5. We've started a whole new set of addictive TV shows for the remainder of the summer. Gilmore Girls, Eureka (Sci-Fi channel), and Kyle XY (ABC Family). It's so much fun!

6. You all suck for not blogging....except Karen, who's in Alaska. And she sucks for being there. *grin*

Annaliese Jane Erdahl

Here she is! Our new little niece! Annaliese! Hehehe! She was born at 6:35 p.m. on 7/21/06. 9 pounds exactly. 21 inches long. I've already given her about a million kisses and Kendall claims I was "huffing" her baby smell yesterday. I did have a baby high afterwards. Now I REALLY want one......

My First Birthday Card of the Year

This is by far one of the nicest birthday cards I've ever gotten! I wanted to share it here. It's sparkly and fun and 3-D! Thanks Karen!

My apologies in advance

Hey guys, due to the fact that I'm getting some spam, I'm going to have to approve all comments before they are posted from now on. This in no way relates to my previous blog about minding your own business if you don't know me, but I figured I should probably say that here so you all knew.

I figure if Sarah W can do it, then it will be okay if I do too! Oh, and if you haven't noticed, I reformatted the comment box so it pops up like Viki's and Trey's. =)

A little bit of rudeness

Here's one for you...

If you don't know me, as in we've never met and you really don't know anything about me personally, don't make comments in my blog that could lead to explosive responses. Because you have absolutely no idea who I am and I could cut your arms off with a rusty knife if you piss me off. =)

While I can respect my friends' opinions (or even people who have at least met me or know me on a more personal level), if I don't know you, I don't want yours. Wow, sorry if that hurts, but I'm just getting it out there.

The need to rant....

Okay, sorry, I need to bitch a little bit. So I have this friend (and I use that term loosely) who got pregnant and waited until she was 5 months pregnant to tell me because she was "Afraid how I would react." That's my first issue. Now I have plenty of friends who are trying to have babies. Does it suck that they're getting pregnant and I'm not? Yes. But does it mean I'm not happy for them? No. I'm very happy when they share the good news. Maybe I get a little weepy with Kendall afterwards, but I'm always excited and supportive.

What makes this situation worse was she told me through an email. AN EMAIL! Friends don't do that! Even friends who don't talk very often don't share news like that through an email! She was hiding behind Internet text! This in itself hurt my feelings more than anything else. I tried to still be nice about it and I even offered to get together with her over the summer...which leads me to my last complaint.

This girl acts like we're still great friends and she misses me, but do I hear from her? No. Not until today. Once again through an email! Now I know that the only way I talk to some of you is through instant message and my blog, but this girl didn't even use my personal email address, she used my school one. One that most teachers don't check during the summer. It just really has me irked. More so the way she shared her baby news than anything else.

So just a word of advice....even if I haven't talked to you in person or on the phone for a while, make sure you share good news a little more personally than email. If you're brother has a kid, great, share it in your blog. If you're having a kid, you better call me personally. And it's not just about kids. If you get a dog, call me. If you get engaged, call me. If you win a million dollars, definitely call me. You get the point. I want to hear good news from my friends in person. Not through the clicking of their keyboard.

Copying Karen

I want to make a random list today too!

1. The insemination was HORRIBLE today. She had to use this metal clamp that basically looks like giant pinchers and she pulled on my uterus so she could get the catheter in to insert the sperm. It burned, cramped, and in general felt like someone was stabbing my uterus with a giant, rusty, knife. Graphic enough? Good news was that we had a lot of sperm to work with and they were all swimming in the right direction. This month we seriously have no reason to not get pregnant....we'll see.

2. I'm on a pie kick. My mom and I made a pie together on Monday using my grandma's crust recipe and while it's a total pain in the ass to make the crust, it tastes incredible! Our first pie was really ugly. Today's pie is still pretty ugly but I'm confident it will taste good. I'm still working out the whole crust thing.....I'm going to make a peach pie next week. This week we're on apple.

3. Kendall and I are starting a marriage encounter with a group of people from church. I think it will be good for us. It's a 7 week course that we each host at our house one week. The thing I like about this is that the people attending are highly social and while we will spend a great deal of time talking about the intended subject, we will also most likely spend a great deal of time talking about everything else! During our 4th of July picnic the conversation ranged from having babies to the question of what a cock ring really is. LOL! Granted it was all girls in the conversation, but still....hilarious!

4. I like cheese. Especially Cabot Extra Sharp White Cheddar. Just in case anyone wants to get my a wedge for my birthday...hehe!

5. I really like that new Christina Aguilera song, Ain't No Other Man. I just can't stop dancing in my seat. It's just fun. Oh yeah, and I'm obsessed with Take Me Out by Franz Ferdinand too.

6. Like, Karen, I really like mashed potatoes. But that have to be made from scratch.

7. I've been making lots of food from scratch lately. It's strange. I've been feeling domestic. Okay, only in the kitchen, but it's just weird for me to think that everything I eat isn't coming from a box.

Ps.

My ovaries hurt.
I know, I'm weird.

Update

Must go watch more Gilmore Girls. Keep mind off basting.

UGH. Me cavewoman.

The Stupidest Things Can Make You Happy

So I was going a little stir crazy in the house. I needed to change some things. So I got some curtains for the back of our kitchen to match the one over our sink. Then I decided everything in our house needed to be reorganized. Including this annoying little nook in the kitchen where the tiny fridge went in like 1930....so here's the final product! And I LOVE it! It makes me feel 100% better about my kitchen...isn't it weird how little things like wire shelves make you feel better. AND, it created more space! BONUS! Too bad I don't have a before picture for you to truely appreciate the change!

I'm going to hang a curtain over it too! Maybe I'll do that tomorrow! WHOO HOO!

Any Thoughts?

How do you like the new format? I'm looking for something different. This seemed kind of fun....

Do Any Spouses Really See Each Other?

It's 10 p.m.. Do you know where your husband is? Mine is never at a bar, never at a sporting event, never at the gym (even though I wish he would....*grin), never at the girlie bars, not even playing basketball with the guys. He's at work. He's always at work. Does he do anything besides work? What are his hobbies? Work and Work. UGH! Here, let me show you....

If you look really close you can see him waving out of a window....

I feel really bad for him because he's been working his ass off since March. And yet he still finds time to sit down with me and watch a movie and rub my back and then help me empty the grass clippings out of the lawnmower...before he gets called back into work. The poor man has had an average of 4 hours sleep a night for the last week.

This also brought about the self reflection that our relationship is rock solid. I get frustrated by his job, especially when he chooses his job over me (in very rare instances) but overall, I'm okay with being alone. I have hobbies and house chores and, of course, the dogs. And I can get lost in a book for hours upon end. I can't really say that I'm jealous of his, "other woman". It's really hit me lately because I know at least 3 people who are divorced already. It's so hard to imagine what that feels like, that you just don't care anymore and you just don't love each other the way you used to. For all the crap I put up with in bad habits and job related issues, I never once think to myself, "I'd be better without him." That makes me feel good about us.

I just wish I could see him more....
