We spent the weekend cruising garden centers and planting up a storm of container plants. My deck should hopefully look like a little oasis by the middle of summer.

We planted a clematis vine in this pot. Jessica gave us the trellis a few years ago. We're hoping it fills up completely by the end of the summer.
Our lone "landscaping" off the deck. It's called a gayfeather. It grows giant purple stalks that look kind of like sparklers. It will get HUGE as the years go by. Don't you love how complete it makes the bed look? LOL!

Looks fantastic. Can't wait to see them filled out as time goes on. :-)
I can't wait to see the gayfeather flowering. That sounds like the coolest plant!!
I love the little guy on the side of the deck. :-)
Lisa, I guess I failed to mention in my last comment that I would appreciate you taking a picture of the gayfeather flowering. I want to see the sparklers!!
It all looks fantastic! When I buy a house I will hire you to plant for me.
