Obviously I'm happy that my guy won. :) I'm not gloating or anything, but I'm leaving my sign up for a few more days. :)
I was supposed to have an OB appointment yesterday and when I showed up, the waiting room was empty. I knew that wasn't normal. My doctor usually runs an hour behind schedule EVERY time I see him. So when I went to the desk and they told me he had to leave to deliver a baby, I wasn't surprised. But I did tease the nurse and say, "I expect this same dedication when my son is born." She laughed.
My OB is a very vocal Republican. So is his partner. We knew each other pre-baby so we have a different type of relationship. I rag on my doctor and he rags on me. After one appointment I went out into the hallway and loudly said, "I just don't think I can let you deliver my baby with these types of political views...." The nurses know that I like to rile him up. I've even worn Obama t-shirts to two appointments.
So when I left my "appointment" yesterday, I asked the nurse for a sticky note. I placed my "I made a difference" sticker on the paper and then wrote next to it, "I VOTED FOR A WINNER. How about you?" and signed my name. I'm sure he'll get a kick out of it, especially now that his guy lost. :)

That is funny.
Umm. Is it weird to know your OB before you started going to him? I mean...the whole flashing your stuff to him sort of a thing. I get that once he checks it out once it's completely normal, but is there any awkwardness that first time? Or when ya'll hang out together outside appoitments??? Does he tell you stories about other peoples nether-regions? That'd be hilarious....
Actually, he's such an outrageous person outside of the office that we don't talk "shop". He's hilarious. And it wasn't really awkward because I've had so many people look at my hoo-ha that it's like it's been on display at the Smithsonian. What's one more guy that tells good jokes? :P
i don't think i'd frustrate a man who may be wielding a scapel near your who-ha in a short time from now....
ohhhhh- i didn't read comments first!
you said hoo-ha too which 1) made me laugh and 2) made me frown that i spelled it wrong!
I think you're hysterical. :-)
That cracked me up!!!
What a funny story and I can't wait to hear what happened as a result of your sticky note.
