- Before a really good cry, he coughs. So you get ample warning that he's going to throw a big fit.
- When having one of these crying fits, there are several things that will pacify him, including the Bonanza theme song. It's probably his favorite song right now. It usually makes him stop crying within 10 seconds.
- He's a snuggler. He will squish up his body and nestle in the crook of your arm or even lay on the flat on your chest. Even if he's not sleepy. He'll just lay there with his feet tucked up and look around.
- He gets the hiccups just as much now as he did when he was still in utero. I think he likes them. They never make him mad. He actually seems fascinated by them. His eyes get really wide and he looks around a lot while he has them.
- When he eats, his stomach growls audibly- every time.
- He does not like pacifiers. He will take one for a short period of time and then spit it out.
- He has "man gas". And by that I mean you actually have to question who farted when it happens. You're not sure if it was Max or another adult in the room. They're that loud and powerful.
- Needless to say, #7 means that we use a lot of gas drops to help his tummy- he likes the taste of the drops so much that he smacks his lips multiple times after we give it to him. I need to get this on video. It's cute.
- When napping on his stomach (only on people) he sleeps on his hand and arm just like Kendall does. It's almost bizarre how many of Kendall's mannerisms he has. He will also wrap his right arm around your arm when napping like this.
- He smiles before he poops. :)

10 Things I've Learned About Max
In the one month that I've spent with my son outside of the womb, I've learned many things about him. Here are just 10 of them...

In the pic where he is wearing the red and white stripped onsie, his hair looks a little red. Is it the lighting or is he a redhead?--just curious!
I think it is funny that he man farts and smiles before he poops. Cracks me up--yep I am in 5th grade!
I guess it is clear he is Kendall's son. :) I bet it makes his dad happy to see all of it!!
I can't believe he is already a month old! I love the new blog look, and the new pics of your kids :)Since I can't be there to see it in person, how about a pic of all 3 of you (er, I guess all 5 of you if the furry ones co-operate)?
Wow, a month! Grow, Max, grow! One of the first things I noticed about Juliet was how she would sleep with her arms thrown over her head, just like Allen. I love watching them both sleep if they're in the same room. And I'm telling you, it just gets better and better! :) So happy for you, Lisa!
awwwwww- we need some hiccup videos!
won't mind if i miss the farting talent though.
So...is before pooping the only times he smiles?
If so, that's quite bitter sweet....
The list made me chuckle. But don't worry, I don't think it's just Max who has "man farts" - my niece sure does, too. She's certainly not dainty with her farts or her poops.
oh yea, #1 amuses me because it's like he's trying to be extra efficient: clear the airways, get everything ready for the big scream!
LOL! Man farts... LMAO!
Love the new look on your blog!
