"New And Improved"...yeah right!

So I was at the store today buying cereal when I came across a box of Trix. I haven't had Trix in years, so I picked some up. I always like reading the boxes. Not for the nutritional content, but just to see what kind of crazy things they put on there to entertain kids. Today's box said, "New shape! Same great taste!" I looked to see what the "new shape" was, thinking to myself, how could Trix get a new shape? They're already shaped like fruit.

They're now round little balls, like Kix, and Coco Puffs. I'm sure you immediately thought the same thing I did. "Wait a minute! They were already round before they were fruit!" Yeah. When we were kids Trix were just like Kix. And then when they changed to fruit shapes, that was the new craze. Suddenly, they're going back to the old shape and calling it new! What a scam.

Not the most fascinating of posts, but still more interesting than, "I laid around in my pjs all day yesterday."

I was thinking the same thing - Trix are round! I didn't know they went to fruit shapes.

My favorite is Fruity Pebbles.

Both of those are too sweet they don't suit me for breakfast.

I'm not sure that I've actually had Trix. And Fruity Pebs I wasn't introduced to until college (was on a short kick then). College was the first time we could finally have "sweet" cereal besides honey nut cheerios or the occasional frosted mini wheats!!

ohyea. But what a scam! You should totally go on their website, call them out on it, and report back any response. :)

I'm sure they made the switch after realizing the cost involved in all the fruit shapes. I have to say it is a bit of a jip!

Hooray for PJ days. Just like the college days!

I like Martha's idea, go to the website and remind them they have already done the round thing!

know what it is? when we were kids it was round, now that our generation is having kids they go back to round to be nostalgic. That works for me i suppose.

I saw the box in the store and thought the same thing! Well, I guess retro is in!

I never got into many sweet cereals (probably because we just didn't have access to them growing up).
