- I WILL have a baby by next Christmas, even if I have to kidnap one from Walmart when a stupid mom isn't looking. I'm tired of celebrating holidays without my own family. If you know anyone that wants to give away a baby, you give them my phone number.
- I want to lose 20 pounds by 2009. That seems like a realistic goal. Once the weather gets nice Kendall and I plan to start building up to long bike rides. Between that, walking the dogs, and joining the YMCA with Jamie, I should be able to do it. I know it seems cliche to put this on a list of resolutions, but I really feel like I need to do this.
- I will have at least half of our credit card debt paid off by 2009. This has been hanging over our heads for the last 7 years. We need our medical school debt GONE. Anyone want to make a donation?
- I will redo our first floor bathroom. The toilet has already been replaced. The wallpaper is going, the fixtures will be replaced with some pretty brushed nickle, and I will hand a new mirror.
- I will get a new car. Preferrably something KICKASS. That makes me look like the rockstar I truely am.
- I will learn how to play my bass guitar.
- I will read at least 12 new trashy romance novels. A minimum of one a month. *grin*
- I will have gone through at least half of the boxes still hiding in storage in my basement and either sell, pitch, or give away what's in them.
- I will ride my bike 15 miles in one day.
- I will try to remember to be greatful for the things I already have when I am feeling down and like I have nothing.

Great list! Good luck with some of the tough ones. I like the book one, and it should be easy!!
Sounds like some challenges ahead, but actually sounds like fun! :-) You'll have to let us know how the books are and the progress on your biking.
I think those are great goals, challenging but attainable. Keep me posted on the books (any recommendations) and the weight loss (let me know if you want any tips of things that have worked well for me).
looks like bike riding is the thing to do in '08! makes me consider digging mine out too....
i think the trashy romances will help with goal #1! ;)
nice list! You can do 15 miles in 1 day. It sounds like a lot, but you'd be amazed how far you can go on bike. The Loveland Bike trail (or whatever it's called now) is a fantabulous place to go b/c it's flat, straight and great scenery, too.
Keep training on your bike and you can join Trey and I when we do our wine country bike tour in California, around the time we're 35. I'm thinking somewhere around 25 miles a day for about a week...don't worry, though, as there will be lots of wine and gourmet food interspersed. :-)
Or you can make the bike trip my coworker made this summer!
Pedal from Portland to Glacier National Park in 3 days.
Day 1 was 250 miles alone. It went down hill from that, but it was 3 days in a row, 15-20 hours a day on a bike.
Wait - you're a rockstar, but you don't know how to play your bass guitar? Explain! :)
Trey, how many rockstars out there right now can actually play a musical instrument? I didn't say I was a rockstar at bass guitar. I play the french horn. That's a rock instrument, isn't it?
Excellent point - most of them can't!
I hope you didn't think I was being mean when I asked that...it was meant to be very tongue-in-cheek.
I don't see why the horn can't be a rock instrument. The only wind instrument in "Tommy" by The Who is a French horn! :-)
EXACTLY! And don't worry, I wasn't offended. If that was all it took, I wouldn't talk to anyone!
I think we should start a petition to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to induct Barry Tuckwell. I'm sure at some point he rocked out.
