Well, let's see....my friend Amy is having a baby. A girl at work just had her baby. My friend Stephanie just had her son Daniel. My sister-in-law is having a baby. Now...my friend Laura is having a baby! Can someone please call me and tell me they're NOT having a baby!!!!!!!
I'm surrounded by people either having or trying to have babies, myself included. I've been going though this process for a year and have already been passed up by 3 of my friends. Would anyone else like to join the list of people that are having a baby so I can feel even worse??!!!?? No, really, please, if you're having a baby, let me know so my uterus can feel like an even bigger loser!
My doctor told me to take this month off and, "relax and have fun". Ummmm, hello?????? Having fun stopped about 6 months ago. When you're regimented on having sex for a week in the middle of the month, you're definitly not going, "Yes! I can't wait to have sex again next week!" I get to start Clomid next month-big fun there! I've read that it can make you feel crazy. Well that shouldn't be much of a change, I ALREADY feel crazy! I just want to grab every 15 year old pregnant girl that I see and slap her! If that's not crazy, I don't know what is.
I told my mom the other day that we did this process the wrong way. We should have gotten pregnant BEFORE we got married, and probably while we were still in college. That would have upped our odds. Since we decided to graduate, get jobs, get married, and buy a house we automatically killed our odds of actually having a baby by 50%. Maybe I should quit my job and go on welfare. That seems to work for a lot of people.
