My 7 Things

Here's my 7. They'l probably be short, cause I do that Thursday Thirteen.

1. I downloaded Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne to my cell phone. I told you I'd do another one! It was in retalitation for Kendall's poopy behavior on Saturday. He doesn't know I bought it, and that makes me feel better.

2. We bought a new dining room table and chairs from Arhaus on Saturday. It's freaking sweet! Solid walnut. Simple, clean lines. Classic. Will last forever. Can't afford the buffet and hutch yet. Let's just say the set we bought was very expensive but will last us FOREVER. Did I mention it will last FOREVER?

3. It was 87 freaking degrees today! How does it get that hot on a day in April. Global Warming my friends! Global Warming!

4. I'm a Democrat. I'm voting for Barack Obama. Please save your Republican criticism for someone else.

5. I have several new favorite CDs. Including the following artists: Hilary Duff, Avril Lavigne, Fountains of Wayne, and Corinne Bailey Rae.

6. I had a Blizzard for my lunch today. And it was damn good!

7. Sometimes, when I'm bored, I'll sit and look at my engagement ring and wedding band set. I'm tellin' ya, it never gets old! I love looking at all those diamonds. And then, sometimes when I see it in pictures and on my reflection in the mirror, I realize how freaking huge it looks....and that's just awesome! Because a girl can never have too many diamonds!

My Weekend Starts Today Because I Took Tomorrow Off!

Thirteen Things I need to get off my chest 1. I'm annoyed with several people right now but won't give any of them the satisfaction of knowing it. 2. It probably wouldn't matter to most of them, even if they knew I was annoyed. 3. It annoys me more that I'm letting them annoy me. 4. I have a boy at school who I want to choke some days. 5. I feel bad for this same boy because I don't think anyone else likes him. 6. I also feel bad because sometimes when he annoys me, I think that he brings this dislike from his peers upon himself. 7. I'm so lazy that I'm paying someone else to pack and move everything in my house. 8. I downloaded a ringtone to my cell phone and didn't tell my husband because he'll yell at me. 9. It's Uptown Girl by Billy Joel. 10. I'm secretly going to download another one because they're fun and it's addictive! 11. Anne makes the list for pointing out that I forgot to put 11-13. 12. I suck at card games and I hate that. My brain just doesn't get them! 13. Personal days are only for "things you can't do outside of the regular work day"...my personal day is definitely illegal then! I can't tell you what I'm doing, someone might be reading!!!! Okay, so my list started serious and ended funny. It made me feel better by the end, so it served its purpose!

Til Death Do Us Part

Man, sometimes that feels like a long time! I haven't been feeling good all weekend, but with the nice weather thought that Kendall and I should really get the garage painted. The city cited us on it and we knew it was a sore spot for buyers and we're running out of time.

So I've been working my butt off out there in the hot sun all the while still feeling slightly nauseous. Only taking short brakes and then getting right back to work. Kendall spills an ENTIRE can of paint into the landscaping and I turn and say, "Oh Kendall!" Now I didn't scream at him. I don't think I even sounded mad, just frustrated, and he starts going off on me! In front of the neighbor no less! So I say screw it and close up my can of paint and walk in the house.

Now I'm sitting here in the nice cool house watching him clean up his mess. *smirk* I'll bet "til death" is feeling like a long time for him too!


Several Hours Later: I did go back out and paint again. I just wanted to get it done and I didn't really feel like having to revive my husband from the heat. When his can ran out of paint, I told him he should have thought about that before he dumped his all over the lawn. (He smiled.) The best part was that we ran out of paint with only a little bit left...and we both know it's his fault...we're just not saying anything. *smirk*
